Pattipola is one of very beautiful villages of Sri Lanka which is situated at Nuwaraeliya district and near the border of Nuwaraeliya and Badulla districts. Pattipola village high 1893m above sea level and very cool place.

       Pattipola is famous for cool, Railway station, Railway tunnel 18 and also pattipola is situated on the way of Horton plains, worlds end, Bakers fall, Totupala mountain and Kirigalpoththa mountain. Pattipola railway station is situated between Ohiya railway station and Ambewela railway station. Ambewela New Zealand farm and Ambewela milk powder factory is near to Pattipola. East side of Pattipola you can see Udamala mountain and In west you can see Totupala mountain.

       Without Pattipola railway we can say anything because highest railway station of Sri Lanka is Pattipola. Side of railway is very beautiful. very beautiful flowers are grown the railway. There is a place called Summit Level which is highest pot of Sri Lanka Railway and which is 1898m high above sea level.

         From Pattipola to Horton plans there are less than 12km. Between the Horton plains and Pattipola there is the entrance of Totupala mountain which is 2nd Higher summit of Sri Lanka. When you travel to Pattipola to Horton you can meet little lakes. Those are used to rest by tourist. The narrow road is to travel to Horton plains and when we travel it we can see very beautiful unforgettable sceneries.  There is a place which we meet this way is very long water tunnel. Alawathugoda and other people get water for cultivation for it. This water tunnel is long more than 300m and which was made with broaches by people.

         In the morning pattipola is very cool and afternoon some what comfortable. In evening the mist come and covered every field.
